Our mission is to help develop and grow these young student-athletes to reach their highest potential both academically and athletically with high character values as well as to prepare them for their high school journey. MMS Boys Athletic Coordinator Coach Chad Edwards

Coach Edwards is the Boy’s Athletic Coordinator. He is in his 22nd year of education, with the last 3 years spent here in Melissa. Coach Edwards attended Sam Houston State University and was a member of the Bearkat football team.

He began his coaching career at Shepherd High School where he coached tight ends. He then spent 5 years at Magnolia West where he coached wide receivers and outside linebackers. Before moving to Melissa, he spent 12 years at Cooper Middle School in Wylie where he was the coordinator.

Coach Edwards is married to Cathy and they have a son (27) and a daughter (10). They also have 3 grandchildren.

In his free time Coach Edwards enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and cooking out on the grill.
