Dear Cardinal Family,
We are still trying to modify our carpool and bus lines to create a more efficient transportation process. There are a few changes we are making to our pick up procedure. We thank you for your patience as we initiate these changes.
The afternoon pickup changes, are as follows:
- The buses will be occupying and lining up in lane one from 2:45pm to 3:00pm.
- Parents will not be allowed to enter the carpool lanes until 3:03pm when the buses have exited.
- Parents that are arriving early for pickup can line up on Erwin St./Melissa Rd. until 3:03pm, when they can then access the carpool lanes for student pick up.
We are inviting grandparents to come enjoy lunch at MREC with
their grandchildren on Friday, September 8, 2023. Grandparents must RSVP. Please see the flyer for details.

Today is the first day of Teacher Appreciation Week, which we at Melissa Schools are celebrating from May 15-19, 2023. Thank you to our teachers and support staff for all that you do for our students and families, and for modeling the Cardinal Way every day! We are grateful to have you on our team.
Congratulations to Misti Kusano! She received a Difference Maker award for her service to Melissa ISD students and families. She is a blessing to all, and she is appreciated beyond measure.
Preliminary results have been tabulated and published online by Collin County Elections for the May 6, 2023 Melissa ISD board election. The election results will be considered official following the canvas of returns at the regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meeting on Monday, May 15.
