The commencement ceremony for the Melissa High School Senior Class of 2024 will be held on Friday, May 31 at 8 p.m. at Coach Kenny Deel Stadium (Add to Calendar).
Guest/Attendee Information
The graduation ceremony is free to attend for all students, staff, family, and friends; tickets are not required. Doors will open to the public at 7 p.m. and the ceremony will begin promptly at 8 p.m.
Location: Coach Kenny Deel Stadium is located next to Melissa High School at 3030 Milrany Ln, Melissa, TX 75454 (Open in Google Maps).
Parking: Please review the parking map and park in the designated event guest parking lots. Handicapped parking will be located in the parking lot directly in front of the stadium. Click here to view the Class of 2024 Graduation Parking Map.
Seating: Seating will be available on both the Home and Visitor sides. Attendees will not be able to move from one side to the other; please enter on the side where you wish to sit.
Security & Clear Bag Policy: All attendees must adhere to the clear bag policy. There will be a security check at the gate upon entry; please plan for waiting time at the security check.
Livestreaming: For those unable to attend, the graduation ceremony will be livestreamed on the Seniors Website and on the Melissa ISD YouTube channel.
Fireworks: We are excited to announce that the grand finale of the Class of 2024 Commencement will be a brief fireworks display to celebrate our students' achievements. While we aim to make this a joyous occasion for all attendees, we recognize that some may have sensitivities to loud noises and flashes. The fireworks display will begin at the cap toss, lasting less than a minute. Please plan accordingly.
Inclement Weather Plan: In the event that weather conditions are not suitable for an outdoor ceremony at the scheduled time, graduation will be postponed by 30 minute increments up to no later than a 10 p.m. start. If the weather does not improve Friday night, graduation will be moved to Saturday at 9 a.m. Students and parents/guardians will be notified with as much advance notice as possible in the event of any weather-related changes.

Senior Requirements
All graduates must arrive at the MHS Championship Center dressed in cap and gown no later than 6:45 p.m.
Graduates should leave all personal belongings (i.e. car keys, wallet, purse, etc.) with their family and/or friends during the ceremony.
Only approved Melissa High School regalia is allowed! Graduates are not allowed to wear cords or sashes other than those awarded by the school.
