The Melissa High School Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter proudly had 11 students compete at the FCCLA State Conference, held April 11–13 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.
Melissa ISD is excited to announce that Hikmah Adedamola Abdul-Hammed will represent MHS at the FCCLA National Conference in July, competing in the Red Talks on Education event with her online project.
Among the standout performances, Fitzgerald Browne and Lillian Nabors earned 4th place in the state in the Public Policy Advocate category. This accomplishment reflects the dedication and perseverance these students have shown all year.
A special thank you to FCCLA sponsors Amy Klein, Shanna Hobbs, Annika Harmsen, and Catherine Harris, along with Career and Technical Education Coordinator Hallie Venner, for their ongoing support and commitment to student success.
We are incredibly proud of every member’s effort, growth, and commitment to excellence. Congratulations to the entire team on an outstanding season!
