The finals were split into two groups: the top 8 swimmers went to the championship finals, while the remaining 8 competed in the consolation finals. Maxim swam a time of 59.20 seconds in the consolation finals, earning 7th place and securing his spot among the top swimmers in the state.

Looking back on his experience at state, Maxim shared, “Making the State Meet was a great experience and being able to represent Melissa as the first swimmer in our school's history was a tremendous honor. Abiel and Everett were great team mates this year and have been great to work with and helped to encourage me. Thank you to Duke Sparks and Coach Stinton for their support of the Melissa Swim Program."

Melissa High School congratulates Maxim on his achievement at the UIL 5A State Swim Meet. His performance reflects the dedication and effort he has put into his training. We look forward to seeing what Maxim will accomplish next season as he continues to grow and challenge himself.
