Congratulations to Melissa High School Choir’s very own Sophia Martinez, who has been selected to perform with the National Choir! Each year, the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) hosts a National Convention, inviting top student vocalists from across the country. Martinez, one of only 25 students chosen for the Soprano II section, will have the honor of performing alongside the nation’s best 11th-12th grade vocalists.
This spring, Martinez will represent Melissa ISD at the National Convention in Dallas on March 19-22, where she will be rehearsing with her ensemble and performing a final concert at the prestigious Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.
Martinez is the first choir member in Melissa High School history to receive this extraordinary honor, marking a proud milestone for the choir program. We can’t wait to see her shine on stage and where this achievement will take her next!
