The Melissa High School Choir had an outstanding 11 students qualify for the Texas State Solo-Ensemble Contest, competing in the Vocal and Piano contests on Saturday, Feb. 4. Students were given a complex piece of music in a foreign language, which they would have to learn and perform solo. These solo performances were judged against students from many other local schools. The State contest will be held in May in Austin, TX. Congratulations to all 17 Cardinals for making it to regionals, and good luck to those continuing on to state.
