On Thursday, November 16, 2023, the Melissa High School Theatre attended the Texas Thespians State Festival. This festival includes a range of activities including theatre workshops, dance classes, local high school performances, and a variety of student competitions.
Twenty-eight Melissa High School Theatre students attended the festival, with three competing in the Solo Musical Theatre Competition.

- Senior, Orion Baldridge - 4th year theatre student
The Melissa High School Theatre plans to return to the festival next year with a full slate of student competitors. Great job to these amazing students.
