Free curbside meal kits are available this week for Melissa ISD students who are not attending in-person school from February 22-26, with pickup available on Monday and Tuesday. The Melissa Ridge Education Center will remain closed from February 22-26, 2021, and there will be no remote asynchronous instruction or virtual instruction for MREC students during this time. MREC parents and guardians can expect the next update regarding school operations no earlier than Wednesday.

Melissa ISD schools and offices will reopen for normal operations beginning Monday, February 22, with the exception of the Melissa Ridge Education Center which will remain closed for one more week. Moving forward, the district will continue to monitor internet connectivity in the area and will notify families of any important updates related to the internet and its impact on student instruction.

Counselors are meeting with the Melissa High School Class of 2021 this week to check credits for graduation. Our seniors are officially in their last semester at Melissa!


Melissa High School Theatre will present this year's musical, "Curtains", at the new Melissa Arts Center in four shows scheduled from March 11-13, 2021. Located next to Melissa High School, the MAC facility is still under construction but is expected to be completed in time for the public performances.
