Congratulations to the Melissa High School Wrestling teams for their outstanding performances at the UIL District Meet on Wednesday, Jan. 29. The girls brought home the team District Champions title and the boys earned the team District Runner Up.
The top four finishers in each weight class qualify for the UIL 5A Regional Championships, which will be held Feb. 7-8 at Anna High School. The girls wrestling team qualified 10 girls for the Regional Meet with six out of the 10 wrestlers earning individual district titles in their respective weight class. The boys took home four individual district titles, qualifying 10 for the Regional Meet.
