On Wednesday, January 22, Mathews Auto Group (Honda and Nissan in Paris, TX) celebrated two extremely deserving staff members from Melissa ISD by honoring them through their "Pay it Forward" initiative.
Among the honorees was Alissa Hollin, the Transportation Office Manager. Kimberley Wouters, Director of Transportation, spoke highly of Hollin, “Alissa goes above and beyond her job duties every single day. She always puts the needs and wants of others before her own and never complains. She represents the Cardinal Way in everything she does, always showing integrity, loyalty, honesty, humility and hope!“
Also honored was Bryce Skotnicki, Melissa ISD Maintenance & HVAC technician. Director of Operations & Facilities, Matthew Lakey, commended Skotnicki for his hard work, “Bryce was deserving of this award based on his unwavering commitment to taking care of the students and staff at Melissa ISD. Bryce takes the initiative to find creative ways to accomplish our goals and provide excellent customer service.”
The dealership owners, Tim and Julie Anderson, are a former Melissa Cardinal family and initiated the “Pay it Forward” program to recognize educators who go above and beyond for students and the school without expecting anything in return. Both Hollin and Skotnicki were awarded $250 each through this initiative as a thank you for their service in education.
