DECA competitions provide students with the opportunity to apply their business knowledge in real-world scenarios, where they are judged on creativity, problem-solving, and communication. In the Innovation Plan event, teams collaboratively develop a proposal for a new product, service, or initiative. Their presentations are evaluated based on originality, feasibility, and the quality of their business plan, including market analysis and financial projections. In the Finance Operations Research event, participants analyze a financial operation and propose improvements, with judges assessing the depth of their research, the clarity of their report, and the effectiveness of their proposed solutions. Students must place top three in their event to qualify for the state conference.
The State Career Development Conference will be held March 6-8, 2025, at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, TX.
A special thank you to DECA Sponsor’s Philip Pendleton and Brooke Pendleton for their dedication to helping these students succeed, alongside Hallie Venner, Career and Technical Education Coordinator.
Congratulations to the DECA team for their remarkable achievement!
