Melissa ISD is excited to announce several leadership updates to the secondary campuses for the 2024-2025 school year. Learn more about each of these campus leaders below:
Ronnie Havens, Melissa ISD DAEP Principal
This is Ronnie Haven’s fifth year in Melissa ISD and 15th year in education. Havens previously taught high school math at the Lester Davis DAEP School in Denton ISD. He began with Melissa ISD as a teacher when our DAEP program was created four years ago. Havens has served as the DAEP administrator as well as the Sixth Grade Assistant Principal for the last three years.
Executive Director of Campus Development, Kenneth Wooten shared, “Ronnie Havens is an accomplished administrator who prioritizes students and builds strong relationships. Having been integral to our DAEP program since its inception. We are excited to welcome Mr. Havens as the new DAEP Principal and look forward to his continued dedicated leadership.”
Dr. Kimberly Herbert, Sixth Grade Center Assistant Principal
This is Dr. Kimberly Herbert’s first year in Melissa ISD and her 22nd year in education. Before joining the Sixth Grade Center, she held roles as an assistant principal in the Gulfport Schools, a 6th Grade ELA teacher in the Ocean Springs Schools, and a Public Speaking Instructor at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
Dr. Shiflett shared, “Dr. Kimberly Herbert is an experienced administrator who prioritizes students and fosters strong relationships daily. After our initial meeting, the committee knew she embodied the Cardinal Way, exemplifying the core values that define our district. We are excited to welcome Dr. Herbert to the Sixth Grade Center and the Melissa ISD family.”
Damon Emery, Melissa Middle School Assistant Principal
This is Damon Emery’s first year in Melissa ISD and his 33rd year in education. Before joining the campus leadership team at Melissa Middle School, he held roles as a principal, assistant principal, teacher, coach, director, and bus driver across multiple Region 11 Education School Districts.
Principal Keen shared, “We are excited to have Mr. Damon Emery join our Melissa Middle School family. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and will be a wonderful addition to our team!”
David Moliere, Melissa High School Associate Principal
Mr. David Moliere brings 17 years of educational experience to his new role with the 2024-2025 school year being his second year in Melissa ISD. This past school year, he served as an assistant principal at Melissa High School. Moliere began his career as a biology teacher in Dallas ISD and before becoming an assistant principal in both McKinney and Prosper ISD.
Principal Eckert shared, “We are excited that Mr. David Moliere has been promoted to Associate Principal at Melissa High School. With his extensive experience and dedication within Melissa ISD, he has proven to be an exceptional leader. We are confident that Mr. Moliere will continue to be an invaluable asset to our school community in his new role!”
Robin Kyser, Melissa High School Assistant Principal
This is Robin Kyser's first year at Melissa ISD and her 16th year in education. She was a director of career and technical education at Chapel Hill ISD, an assistant principal in Little Elm, and a 504 and testing coordinator for Wylie ISD and Frisco ISD.
Principal Eckert shared, “We are excited to welcome Ms. Robin Kyser to the Melissa High School family! We’re confident that Ms. Kyser will quickly become a valued member of our school community and look forward to seeing all the great things she will contribute!
Michael Rolle, Melissa High School Dean of Students
Michael Rolle is entering his fifth year with Melissa ISD. Before joining the high school, Rolle's professional journey included roles such as Hotel General Manager, Operations Director, Middle School Teacher, and most recently Administrator of our Achieve Summer School.
Principal Eckert shared, “We’re excited that Mr. Michael Rolle is moving into a new leadership role at Melissa High School. He’s been a great part of our Melissa ISD family, and we know he’ll do an amazing job in his new position. We can’t wait to see all the great things he’ll bring to our high school!
