Nathan Lambert new Sumeer Elementary Principal

A new campus principal has been selected for Sumeer Elementary in the 2024-2025 school year. Nathan Lambert will serve as the principal at Sumeer Elementary, transitioning from his previous role as assistant principal at Melissa High School last year.

Melissa ISD extends its gratitude to Principal William Daniel for his three years of service to our Cardinals and for his dedication in opening Sumeer this past school year. We wish him success as he pursues new leadership opportunities in education.

Lambert holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas and has been serving students since 2009. He began his teaching career in the special education department in McKinney ISD before becoming an instructional coach and later an assistant principal in Frisco ISD. He continued his leadership journey as a house principal in Allen ISD before joining Team Melissa at MHS last fall.

“I am thrilled and honored to become the new principal of Sumeer Elementary,” Principal Lambert shared, “I eagerly anticipate working with our exceptional staff, supportive community, and inspiring students to foster a nurturing and dynamic learning environment where every child can succeed.”

“We are delighted to have Nathan Lambert continuing his journey with us as the principal of Sumeer Elementary. His exceptional leadership over the past year as assistant principal at Melissa High School has shown his dedication to our students' success,” said Executive Director of Campus Services, Walter Perez. “At Melissa ISD, our process for selecting principals ensures that we find individuals who embody our core values and the Cardinal Way, and Lambert’s contributions have exemplified these qualities.
