Her positive attitude uplifts all those around her and works to create a joyful classroom. Melissa Ridge Education Center deeply appreciates everything you do!"
Micheala Starkovich, a Eighth Grade Science teacher at Melissa Middle School, was also honored. Melinda Keen, the principal at the Middle School, commended Starkovich, saying, "Mrs. Starkovich is a wonderful addition to the Melissa Middle School team! She instills hope in all students and finds ways to connect with every one of them. She has poured her heart into being a Cardinal and we are so thankful for her!"
The dealership owners, Tim and Julie Anderson, are a former Melissa Cardinal family and initiated the “Pay it Forward” program to recognize teachers who go above and beyond for students and the school without expecting anything in return. Both Wells and Starkovich were awarded $250 each through this initiative as a thank you for their service in education.
