The Melissa Middle School Theatre’s Mainstage Co. is performing their spring musical, Newsies, on May 7, 9, and 11 at Melissa Middle School. The performances on May 7 and 9 will begin at 7:00 p.m. The performance on May 11 will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $8 each.
Newsies is a lively musical that tells the inspiring story of the Newsboys Strike of 1899 in New York City. The show follows a group of courageous newsboys who fight against unfair working conditions and rally for their rights. Filled with energetic dance numbers, catchy tunes, and themes of solidarity and determination, Newsies is a captivating portrayal of the power of unity and the fight for justice. The show is under the direction of Louise Hickey, and choreographer Serena Hickey. Come out and support our Cardinals!
