Substitute Teaching
Melissa ISD partners with ESS to manage the substitute teaching program. A leader in K-12 staffing, ESS is responsible hiring, training, and placing all substitute teachers and aides. If you are interested in working as a substitute for our district, you must meet the qualifications and complete the online application.

Qualifications
Requires high school diploma, highest degree completed, and/or teacher certification.
Requires proof of right to work in the U.S. (i.e. social security card, current passport, driver license, permanent resident card).
Pay
Note: The substitute teaching pay schedule is weekly on Fridays.
Certified Teacher Substitute – $125.00
Degreed Substitute (Bachelors & Above) – $115.00
Non-Degreed Substitute – $100.00
Aide/Receptionist Roles – $100.00
Nurse – $150.00
