The Department of Special Education and Intervention Services at Melissa Schools includes District Wellness, Dyslexia, Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), Section 504, and Special Education.

Mission
The department's mission is to provide exceptional learners with the essential skills necessary to thrive at school, at home, and in the community. This is accomplished through developing relationships that unify stakeholders, meeting the individual needs of each child, instilling advocacy skills in students, and empowering hope by creating a culture of success.
