Melissa ISD partners with the Melissa Public Library to encourage and promote reading while school is out of session.

Summer Reading Kick-Off Celebration

Melissa ISD partners with the Melissa Public Library to encourage and promote reading while school is out of session. The City of Melissa Public Library will host a Summer Reading Kick-Off Celebration on Saturday, June 1 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. All activities are free, but bring money for the food trucks.

The Kick-Off Celebration will include:

  • Bounce Houses

  • Face Painting

  • Caricatures

  • Petting Zoo

  • Games

  • Balloon Animals

  • Food Trucks
