Cardinal Leadership Academy

The Cardinal Leadership Academy (CLA) is a transformative two-year cohort program aimed at nurturing leadership excellence among our Cardinal team. Participation in the program is a commitment to investing in yourself and fostering professional growth. Through dynamic presentations, insightful book studies, and hands-on teamwork exercises, participants will engage in a holistic learning experience designed to enhance their leadership skills and deepen their impact on our school community.

The philosophy of the program is that by investing our time in each other, we are not only investing in ourselves but also in the future success of Melissa ISD.

Application Deadline: June 30, 2024

We require a minimum of three years of classroom experience and those accepted into the Cardinal Leadership Academy must commit to a two-year cohort. Space is limited so it is possible that not all interested candidates will be able to join the first cohort. Applicants will receive notification regarding the status of their application by July 31, 2024.

The application will include question ns about your Clifton Top 5 Strengths, your motivation for joining the Cardinal Leadership Academy (CLA) cohort, and your aspirations for personal growth and development through this CLA opportunity.

Session Information:

The Cardinal Leadership Academy will meet on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning August 2024 and concluding in May 2026.

Dates (2024-2025): Aug. 13, Sept. 10, Oct. 8, Nov. 12, Dec. 10, Jan. 14, Feb. 11, March 11, Apr. 8, and May 13.

Time: 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.

Location: Crossland Learning Center, 1904 Cooper St. (Red Building)

Please note that the CLA is not intended to serve as a direct pathway for individuals seeking administrative job opportunities; however, we strongly encourage district staff members who are passionate about their professional growth and dedicated to making a positive impact within our district to apply.
