Melissa ISD serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade who reside within the Melissa ISD attendance boundaries. This page outlines all enrollment/registration requirements and next steps for new and returning Melissa ISD students.

Please confirm that your child's residence is within the Melissa ISD attendance boundary zone and, if applicable, which elementary school they are zoned to attend. For more detailed information, refer to the "Attendance & Zoning" section below.

Due to extreme growth, Melissa ISD is not accepting any new out-of-district transfers.

New Student Enrollment for 2024-2025 is open.
Returning Student Enrollment for 2024-2025 opens July 17, 2024. Parents will receive an email alert when registration has opened.

Harry McKillop Elementary Redirects

Effective May 15, 2024: Harry McKillop Elementary is currently at capacity for student enrollment. As a result, all new students zoned to attend Harry McKillop Elementary who are enrolled May 15 or later will be redirected to attend a different Melissa ISD elementary school for the 2024-2025 school year. Redirected students will be placed on a waitlist with the possibility of having the option to redirect back to Harry McKillop Elementary when/if space becomes available. Additional information regarding redirects due to enrollment capacity will be shared in July.

This redirect procedure does not apply to: 1) returning students who attended Harry McKillop Elementary last year, and 2) new students zoned to attend Harry McKillop Elementary who were enrolled before May 15. Parents/guardians will receive communication that confirms their student’s attendance at Harry McKillop Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year.
