Melissa Middle School is uniting for a great cause this October as MMS SkillsUSA students lead the Socktober Drive to support local shelters. From October 22-31, students will be collecting new socks with the goal of reaching 1,000 pairs to help those in need.
Socktober Drive: How You Can Help
When: October 22-31
What to Bring: New socks in any size
Where: Students will drop off donations to their advisory classes
Who Benefits: All donations will go to the Samaritan Inn
Why Socks: Socks are one of the most requested items at shelters and can make a huge difference for individuals experiencing homelessness.
Socktober Showdown:
To add excitement to the drive, the school is hosting a Socktober Showdown! The advisory class that donates the most socks will win a cookie party.
This initiative showcases the kindness and community spirit of the Melissa Middle School students, who are encouraged to rally together to meet the 1,000-pair goal and bring warmth to those in need. Let’s show our support and make a big impact!
