Melissa High School is proud to introduce the first edition of the Cardinal Chronicles. The goal of the magazine is to showcase the exceptional writing and artwork of our MHS students. Within the pages, you will discover deeply personal and resonant pieces that highlight the immense creativity of our student body.
The inspiration for this magazine stemmed from a desire to exhibit the outstanding writing produced by our students throughout the year. The Cardinal Chronicles aim to share these remarkable pieces with the community, ensuring they can be appreciated for years to come.
On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, students whose work was featured in the magazine were given the opportunity to participate in a magazine signing day. This event was a celebration of their achievements and a chance to honor their contributions.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the visual arts and creative writing students, as well as to the Visual Arts teacher, Ashley Fortune, for her help in creating this new tradition for MHS students.
The form to submit a selection for the Cardinal Chronicles is open to all MHS students. Submissions undergo an approval process, including parental review. Additionally, selected artists and authors collaborate with the visual arts teacher for the final publication.
