Course Selection & Scheduling - Academic Planning Guide

The Melissa High School Academic Planning Guide (APG) has been created to provide important course descriptions and academic planning guidelines for our students and their families. This guide will help students and families in making informed decisions concerning course selections and academic programs of study throughout their high school experience. Please carefully review the information contained in the APG. The guidance counselors will also support students as they begin to consider different options and pathways that meet each students individual learning needs and future goals.

NOTE: The initial draft of the APG for the 2025-2026 school year was published on November 1, 2024. Throughout the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year, committees will meet regularly to review the content, ensuring compliance with local and legal policies. The 2025-2026 APG remains subject to modification until the first day of the 2025-2026 school year, at which point the finalized version will take effect.
