The purpose of the Melissa Cheer Program shall be to perform and entertain audiences through precision performance while boosting the morale and school spirit of the Cardinal community.  The purpose shall also be for each member to promote physical fitness, character, leadership, individual abilities, and responsibility. It is the cheerleading program’s purpose to represent MISD in a manner that will reflect credit upon MHS and above all, the MISD’s core values. On and off the field, cheerleaders are expected to support all athletic teams by attending events chosen by the director/coaches and, therefore, approved by the principal.  Each member must agree to abide by the following rules and expectations.
