Pre-Kindergarten

Melissa ISD offers a free, full day, eligibility-based Pre-Kindergarten program for qualifying students. The focus of the Pre-K program is to develop oral language, prerequisite skills for emergent readers, and early math concepts, and build readiness skills for successful entry into Kindergarten.

Pre-K enrollment for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year opens at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

How to enroll in the eligibility-based Pre-K Program:

Step One: The first step in the Pre-K enrollment process is to confirm your child's eligibility (see eligibility and qualifying criteria below).

Step Two: Complete the online application form. You will receive an email with the next steps for enrollment as soon as your Pre-K application has been reviewed by the school.
